Curriculum Administrator - Edit an Assessment
Edit an existing assessment as a curriculum administrator, including questions and settings.
This article walks Curriculum Admins through editing an assessment within the Admin Tools.

If you do not see the Assessments option in the Admin Tools, this means you do not have the Curriculum Administrator role assigned to your profile. To add the correct role to your account you will need to have access as an Organization Administrator. Organization Administrators can refer to theÌýAdd Roles to an Existing UserÌýarticle for steps on adding the correct roles to user accounts.

Find an Existing Assessment
1. SSO or sign in atÌý.
If you have dual roles as a teacher and an administrator, you will need to navigate to your Administrator profile to access the Admin Tools. Refer to theÌýHow to Access Roles, Organizations, and Profile SettingsÌýarticle for steps on switching between your Teacher and Administrator profiles.
2. Click onÌý´¡²õ²õ±ð²õ²õ³¾±ð²Ô³Ù²õÌýon the navigation menu.
3. Select the program from theÌý°ä´Ç³Ü°ù²õ±ðÌýdrop-down.

4. TheÌýSchool District BanksÌý(A) tab are were you can locate custom made assessments.
Click on theÌýPredefined BanksÌý(B) tab to locate a ÌÇÐÄVlog-created assessment.
5. Click on theÌý°Õ¾±³Ù±ô±ðÌýof the assessment bank.

You can also use theÌýSearch By TitleÌýfield to locate a specific assessment.

Use theÌý¹ó¾±±ô³Ù±ð°ù²õÌýto locate a specific type of assessment.


5. Click on the Options menu icon in the Actions ³¦´Ç±ô³Ü³¾²Ô.Ìý
6. Click Edit from the menu.

Note: If you are wanting to make adjustments to a ÌÇÐÄVlog created assessment you've added to your District Bank, you will need to click on the Title of the assessment to get to the edit page.

Add Existing Questions
1. Click theÌýAdd QuestionÌý²ú³Ü³Ù³Ù´Ç²Ô.
2. Click onÌýAdd Existing QuestionÌýfrom the menu.

3. Click theÌýAdd FromÌý²ú³Ü³Ù³Ù´Ç²Ô.
4. Click onÌý²Ï³Ü±ð²õ³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õÌý´Ç°ùÌýAssessmentsÌýbased on where you want to pull questions from.

5. Click theÌýSelect BankÌýbutton and select the assessment bank you want the questions from.Ìý

If you selectÌýAssessments, you will also need to choose an option from theÌýSelect AssessmentÌýdrop-down.

6. Check the box next to theÌý²Ï³Ü±ð²õ³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õÌýyou want to add to the assessment.
A. To help locate the questions you want, use theÌýSearch By TitleÌýfield and theÌýFilters.
7. Click theÌýAddÌýbutton at the top-right.
B. Click theÌýPreview AllÌýbutton to view the selected questions.
C. Click theÌýOptionsÌýicon toÌýPreviewÌýthe single question.

When previewing the questions, you will be able to toggle between seeing theÌýStudent Digital,ÌýCorrect Answer, andÌýStudent PrintÌýviews.

Add New Questions
1. Click theÌýAdd QuestionÌý²ú³Ü³Ù³Ù´Ç²Ô.
2. Click onÌýAdd Existing QuestionÌýfrom the menu.

3. Select the preferredÌýQuestion TypeÌýfrom the drop-down.ÌýReview theÌýMH Assess - Question TypesÌýarticle for details on each option.Ìý

4. Enter theÌýQuestion Text.

5. Depending on the question option selected, enter theÌýAnswer choices.
6. Click theÌýXÌýnext to the correctÌýAnswer choiceÌýso that it shows a checkmark.
A. Toggle onÌýReasonÌýto add a reason for eachÌýAnswer choice.
B. Toggle on toÌýShuffleÌýtheÌýAnswer choices.

For certainÌýquestion types, you will need to enter aÌýResponse text limit.

You can also select anÌýEditorÌýoption and enter anÌýExample AnswerÌýfor certain questions types.

7. Enter aÌýHint,ÌýExample, and/´Ç°ùÌýExplanation. Click theÌýContinueÌýbutton after each entry for it to save. These are optional.
8. Add aÌýExistingÌý´Ç°ùÌýNew Passage. This is optional.
9. For certain question types, select the preferredÌýScoringÌýoption from the drop-down. Refer to theÌýMH Assess - Advanced ScoringÌýarticle for details on each of the scoring options.
10. For some question types, you have the option to add aÌýRubric.
11. Enter theÌýPointsÌýthe question should be worth.

12. Click theÌýSaveÌýbutton at the top or bottom of the page.
Edit a Question
1. To make changes to a question on the assessment, click theÌýEditÌýbutton.

2. Make any preferred changes to the fields.
3. Click theÌýSaveÌýbutton at the top or bottom of the page.
Link Questions
1. To link one question to the next, click theÌýLink QuestionÌýbutton.
2. ClickÌýNext QuestionÌýfrom the menu.

3. On theÌýQuestion LinkÌýpop-up, verify the questions you are wanting to link together.
If you want to setÌýDependent scoringÌýbetween the linked questions, check the box. You will then need to selectÌýfullÌý´Ç°ùÌýpartialÌýfor credit from the drop-down.
4. Click theÌýCreate LinkÌý²ú³Ü³Ù³Ù´Ç²Ô.

If questions have been linked, you will see a link icon next to the Question header.

Change Link Conditions
1. Click theÌýEdit LinkÌý²ú³Ü³Ù³Ù´Ç²Ô.
2. Click onÌýEdit ConditionsÌýfrom the menu.

3. On theÌýQuestion LinkÌýpop-up, make preferred changes.
4. Click theÌýSaveÌýbutton to confirm any changes made.

Unlink Questions
1. Click theÌýEdit LinkÌý²ú³Ü³Ù³Ù´Ç²Ô.
2. Click onÌýUnlinkÌýfrom the menu.

You can also click theÌýUnlinkÌýbutton on theÌýQuestion LinkÌýpop-up.

Remove a Question
1. To delete a question from an assessment, click theÌýRemoveÌýbutton.
Keep in mind, if you accidentally removed the question, you will need to go throughÌýadding the questionÌýback to the assessment.

Move Question
1. To move a question to another location within an assessment, click the Move button.

2. On the Move Question pop-up, click on the Select a question drop-down.
3. Select where you want to move the assessment.
4. Click the Move button.

Create a Section
If you want multiple parts within an assessment to group questions together, you will want to create a new section.
1. Click theÌýAdd SectionÌýbutton at the top-right.

2. On theÌýAdd SectionÌýpop-up, enter anÌýIntroduction.
These are instructions students will see before they start the questions for that section.

3. Check the box next to anyÌýStudent ToolsÌýyou would like them to have access to for that section.
4. Click theÌýAddÌýbutton.

The section will be added to the bottom of the assessment.
5. AnyÌýquestions addedÌýwill automatically go into the new section.
Click theÌýup/down arrowÌýto the right of the section name to reorder the sections.

Edit a Section
1. ClickÌýEdit SectionÌý(pencil icon).

2. Make preferred changes to theÌýIntroductionÌýandÌýStudent Tools.
3. Click theÌýSaveÌýbutton to confirm changes.
Delete a Section
When deleting a section you want to keep in mind that it will also remove all questions associated to that section.
1. ClickÌýDelete SectionÌý(trash can icon).

2. On theÌýDeleteÌýpop-up, click theÌýYes, DeleteÌýbutton to confirm.
