Print Temporary Student Passwords

Use temporary student passwords to provide short-term access during setup or recovery.

This article applies to districts that useÌýDirect Login and Manual Rostering. Direct Login means that teachers, students, and administrators log in atÌý. Manual Rostering means that teachers manually redeem program content and roster their own classes.

This article walks teachers through printing temporary passwords for students.

You can create temporary passwords for your students’ initial login from your student roster in both Open Learning and ConnectED. You can also use this feature if a student has forgotten their password.

Note: You do not want to give them a temporary password if you set a permanent password for them,Ìýas the temporary password will override the permanent password.

Students are prompted to set a permanent password once they sign in with the temporary password. You will not be able to see or print permanent passwords.

Open Learning Programs

1. Sign into your account at .

2. Click on Classroom Actions.

3. Click on Manage Class Roster from the menu.

4. Click the Options icon in the Actions column to the right of the student.

5. Click Print Temporary Password from the menu.

6. On the Reset and Print Student Password pop-up, click the Reset and Print Password button.



To print the temporary passwords for the entire class, click theÌýReset and Print Student Passwords (key icon) button.

Both options will download a CSV file.

ConnectED Programs

1. Sign into your account at .

2. Click on the Teacher Edition.

3. For certain classes, go to Manage & Assign and Class Details or My Classes;

For other programs, click on Menu and Class Management from the menu.

4. Click the View link in the Temporary Password column to the right of the student.

5. On the View Student Password pop-up, click the Print Temporary Password Card button or provide the Temporary Password provided on the pop-up to the student.

Click the Print button to print the temporary passwords for the entire class.

Both options will download a CSV file.
