Uploading scores via CSV allows teachers to manually grade assessments quickly and easily, such as those that are completed offline using paper and pencil. If students are completing the assessment or online practice offline, you will still need to assign the assessment or online practice to them in the program to use the CSV upload and have the scores added to the Gradebook.
Note: If the assignment has multiple attempts set, using the CSV upload will only update scores for the assignment's first attempt.
1. Launch your course.
2. Click on Assignments from the navigation menu.
For certain programs, you will need to click on Assess, Assessment, or Online Assessment Center.
Then click on Assigned Assessments from the navigation menu.
3. Click on the Assignment Name of the assignment -
or click on the Options menu icon in the Actions column and click on View Scores from the menu.
4. Click the Options button and click on Upload Scores via CSV from the menu.
5. On the Class Scoresheet page, click on the Download File button to download the assignment CSV file.
Note: You will need to download the scoresheet file for each different assessment you want to upload scores for.
6. Open the downloaded csv file. In each of the Question columns, enter the score for each student you want to submit scores for.
Do not delete the Student Assignment XIDs for those you want to score. If a question cell is left blank, it will not be factored into the total score.
7. Save the updated scoring file to your computer.
8. Back on the Class Scoresheet page, click the Choose File button.
9. Click the Save Scores button to upload the file to the assignment.
Note: If you receive the error message: 鈥淭here was an error with your upload. Please download the error file, make changes, and reupload,鈥 double check that you have selected the correct scoring file that goes along with the assignment you selected.
9. Click the Confirm button on the pop-up.
It may take some time for the scores to show on the assessments Overview page once the file has been submitted.
