ALEKS - Print Temporary Student Passwords

Print temporary student passwords in ALEKS for initial login or recovery.

This article applies to districts that useÌýDirect Login and Manual Rostering. Direct Login means that teachers, students, and administrators log in atÌý. Manual Rostering means that teachers manually redeem program content and roster their own classes.

This article walks teachers through printing temporary passwords for students for ALEKS.

You can create temporary passwords for your students’ initial login from your student roster for ALEKS and ALEKS Adventure. You can also use this feature if a student has forgotten their password.

Note: You do not want to give them a temporary password if you set a permanent password for them,Ìýas the temporary password will override the permanent password.

Students are prompted to set a permanent password once they sign in with the temporary password.ÌýYou will not be able to see or print permanent passwords.

1. Sign into your account atÌý.

2. Click onÌýClassroom Actions.

3. Click onÌýManage Class RosterÌýfrom the menu.

4. Click theÌýOptionsÌýicon in theÌýActionsÌýcolumn to the right of the student.

5. ClickÌýPrint Temporary PasswordÌýfrom the menu.

6. On theÌýReset and Print Student PasswordÌýpop-up, click theÌýReset and Print PasswordÌýbutton.



To print the temporary passwords for the entire class, click theÌýReset and Print Student Passwords (key icon)Ìýbutton.

Both options will download a CSV file.
